Meet Bottleneck:
Our Atlanta Glass Recycling Mascot
Meet Bottleneck the Giraffe, the long-necked and lovable mascot for our glass recycling company! As our mascot, Bottleneck embodies our dedication to environmental sustainability and our mission to raise awareness about the importance of proper recycling practices.
But what does "Bottleneck" have to do with recycling, you ask? Well, as you may know, many municipalities have adopted single-stream recycling systems that allow residents to mix all their recyclables - including glass, paper, and plastic - in a single bin. While this system is convenient for residents, it can create a bottleneck in the recycling process, making it more difficult to separate and properly process each type of material. This is why many cities do not accept glass anymore at all. The glass is rough on the equipment, most contaminates other recyclables, and it creates inefficiencies throughout the process.
That's where Bottleneck comes in! As our mascot, he represents the challenge of separating and recycling glass in single-stream systems. With his long neck and keen eyesight, Bottleneck is always on the lookout for ways to improve the recycling process and reduce the bottleneck in single-stream systems. Whether he's working with our team to sort through recyclables or educating the public about the importance of proper recycling practices, Bottleneck is always hard at work to make our world a greener and cleaner place.
So if you see Bottleneck out and about, be sure to give him a friendly wave and a pat on the back (or the neck, as the case may be!). With his big heart and even bigger neck, Bottleneck is the perfect mascot for our glass recycling company, and we're proud to have him as part of our team.
